Scheduling settings

Per-site working hours, weekends, public holidays, and availability events — the calendar every schedule is placed into.

Settings → Scheduling — “Configure working hours, weekends, holidays, and off-times for this site.” Everything here is per site: pick the site in the top bar first (“Select a site to configure scheduling.” appears until you do). The concepts behind these controls are covered in Scheduling and availability.

Timezone

“All scheduling calculations use this timezone.” Set it to the site’s local zone — working hours, holidays, and event boundaries are all interpreted in it.

Working Hours

“Define the working day. Time outside these hours is not counted as working time.” Toggle Enable working hours and set Start and End. This is the denominator of every utilization percentage — a space used 8 hours of an 8-hour working day is at 100%, not 33%.

Weekends

“When enabled, Saturday and Sunday are excluded from working time.” One toggle: Exclude weekends.

Public Holidays

“Automatically exclude public holidays based on a country/region.” Enable it and pick a Region — coverage spans Europe (Austria through the United Kingdom), the United States, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and more. Placements that land on a holiday are flagged (Overlaps with a holiday), and auto-scheduling plans around them.

Availability Events

“Define periods when no work should be scheduled (closures, maintenance, etc.).” Add opens the event dialog:

  • Title — e.g. Christmas shutdown.
  • Type — Public holiday, Shutdown, Maintenance, or Custom.
  • Default effect — Closed (“All resources closed unless overridden.”) or Available (“All resources available unless overridden.”).
  • Start / End — the period.
  • Recurrence rule (RRULE) — for repeating events, e.g. FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=12;BYMONTHDAY=24; recurring events show a Recurring badge.
  • Overrides — “Override the default effect for specific resources, groups, or types.” Target a Resource, Resource group, or Resource type and give it the opposite effect. The most specific target wins, so a shutdown can close the plant while one maintenance team’s resources stay available.

Events can be disabled without deletion (Disabled badge), and deleting one asks first — “This cannot be undone.”

Reset to Defaults

Reset to Defaults removes all custom scheduling settings for the site (“This will remove all custom scheduling settings for this site.”) — useful when experimenting, destructive when not. It asks for confirmation.

What downstream sees

Every control on this page feeds validation (Overlaps with off-time, Overlaps with a non-working weekend), auto-scheduling, and the utilization math on Insights. If utilization reads “No capacity configured for this period.”, this page is where capacity comes from.
