Presets
Move whole tenant configurations — criteria, groups, and templates — between workspaces as validated preset files.
Settings → Presets — “Import, export, and manage tenant configuration presets. Presets include criteria, space groups, and templates.” Where Import and export moves one page’s data, a preset moves a whole configuration as a single validated file — the right tool for standing up a second workspace, distributing a standard setup across plants, or versioning your configuration.
Exporting your configuration
Export Current Configuration opens Export Configuration as Preset:
- Preset ID — “A unique identifier for this preset (lowercase, hyphens allowed)”, e.g. my-company-v1.
- Name — the human-readable title.
- Description (optional) — what this preset contains.
Export downloads the file: your criteria, space groups, and templates, ready to re-apply anywhere.
Applying a preset
Import Preset reads a preset file and opens Preview Preset — “Review the preset before applying it to your tenant.” The flow is deliberately gated:
- Validation first. The preset is checked before anything happens — you see Validation Passed (“The preset is valid and ready to be applied.”) or Validation Failed with the reasons. Invalid presets cannot be applied.
- Review the preview of what will be created.
- Apply Preset — or Cancel to walk away with nothing changed. Success reports Preset Applied.
Application history
The Application History card lists “Presets that have been applied to this tenant” — each with its applied date and version badge. That trail answers “where did this configuration come from?” months later.
Presets and starter templates
The starter template you pick during onboarding is this same mechanism wearing a friendly face — a curated preset applied to a fresh workspace. Presets let you build your own equivalents: configure one workspace well, export it, and every future workspace starts there.
